Pathways for Children is seeking a Vice President/Chief Operating Officer who will be a visionary leader able to build effective, cohesive teams and implement systems for maximum effectiveness and efficiency working across multiple disciplines in a non-profit, early education organization. The successful candidate must be able to execute strategy, and possess values consistent with a culture that is based upon respect, collaboration, high standards, and a passion to make a difference. S/he will act in the role of President & CEO in her absence. The primary charge to the new Vice President & COO will be to manage the day to day operations of the organization including support services and work closely with the President & CEO on special projects and strategic initiatives. As a member of the senior leadership team, the individual will play a major role in strategy, planning and implementation of program services that are consistent with the mission and vision of Pathways as determined by its board of directors.
The candidate will have at least ten years substantive and progressive experience in the general management of complex organizations preferably non-profit. An advance degree in management or a related field is required.
