Education Manager

The Head Start Education Manager is responsible for oversight of the Head Start Education Department in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and Pathways for Children’s Policies and Procedures.  The Education Manager will serve the program in collaboration with other content managers to ensure that all Federal and State childcare regulations are adhered too.

Specific duties include oversight, evaluation and supervision of curriculum development and implementation, providing collaboration for training opportunities and recruitment of teachers.  Promoting the school readiness of children and effective transitioning of children to kindergarten providing technical assistance and training to education staff and direct oversight of the early education coaching program for teachers.

Qualifications include a minimum of a BA in early childhood education, previous teaching experience in an early childhood setting and a minimum of three years managerial or supervisory experience.  Head Start experience highly preferred.  Experience teaching adult learners preferred.  Must have a valid MA driver’s license and be willing to drive to different center locations.
