Education & Professional Development Manager

35 hrs., Full-Time Education & Professional Development Manager responsible for oversight of the Head Start Child Development and Education Services in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and Pathways for Children’s Policies and Procedures. Responsible for promoting the school readiness of children ages 0 – 5 in cooperation with all other disciplines (Family and Community Engagement, Social Services, Health, and Administration). Oversees the implementation, evaluation, and supervision of curriculum development, curriculum implementation, educational services, educator training, recruitment, and credentialing, and provides coaching supports in compliance with Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards and Massachusetts Early Education and Care regulations. Supports children, parents, staff, & community in a team approach to ensure that the developmental and social emotional needs for children ages 0 – 5 are being met.

Required: Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field required. A minimum of 5 years early childhood teaching experience, preferably some infant and toddler experience in addition to preschool. Must be EEC Lead Teacher certified, with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

Preferred: Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Early Childhood or related field, EEC Director II, Head Start experience, CLASS certified
