Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Joins the Pathways for Children Family

We are excited to announce the launch of our new partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Through the Imagination Library, residents of Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester, and Essex are eligible to receive a free, age-appropriate book mailed home every month for each child under five years old in their household. There are no pre-qualifications to participate, such as income or other restrictions. Parents or caregivers just have to complete a quick and confidential registration and have a mailing address in one of our Cape Ann zip codes.

Families can check availability and register at www.pw4c.org/imaginationlibrary.

We are grateful to Representative Ann-Margaret Ferrante (D-Gloucester), Senator Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester), and Gloucester Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken who championed this project and successfully requested funding through the CARES Act and the FY2021 state budget. Currently, we are funded to sponsor the participation of 1,000 Cape Ann children. Pathways and First R are proud the be the local coordination organizations.

This partnership supports Pathways’ commitment to early literacy and allows us to deliver a legacy of learning to the youngest members in our community.

These books are truly gifts. While building at-home libraries for our youngest residents, they are also bringing families together to read and strengthen family bonds.
