The Early Childhood Education Teacher Apprenticeship Program

program requirements:

  • 480+ hours of classroom time

  • 2 college courses at North Shore Community College

  • 15 hours of Mandatory MA Dept. of Early Education and Care training

Eligibility requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 18 years or older

  • Pass a CORI check

  • Comply with Head Start vaccine policy and mask mandate

 
  1. Obtain college credits from North Shore Community College.

  2. Receive free textbooks, materials, and Chromebook.

  3. Earn more than $10,000 in Apprentice pay before taxes.

  4. Receive a Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification and a Child Development Associate credential (CDA).

  5. On-the-job coaching from highly-skilled early education mentors.
