Book fairs across Cape Ann and the North Shore

Our Beverly, Gloucester, and Salem book fairs were resounding successes, thanks to a tireless team of dedicated volunteers who rallied teachers and students behind the literacy efforts.

Over the course of three days, more than 1,000 books went home with nearly happy 250 students to kick start their summer reading fun.

Collaboration was central to this success. Our thanks to:

  • Salem State University and the College Womens Club of Cape Ann for donating boxes and boxes of great books

  • The Literacy Task Force (now eight years strong!) for the hours spent planning, organizing, setting up, and supporting the book fairs–from start to finish

Students and teachers alike were thrilled to add new books to their collections. We are looking forward to many more initiatives in support of literacy and life-long learning.
