Winter Giving Opportunities
Pathways for Children provides the empowering gift of high-quality education and care to over 500 children from 13 North Shore communities. In order to benefit from these services and succeed in our programs the children and their families often need additional support services. Providing these support services requires resources beyond the scope of our already uncertain government funding. There are many ways you as a community member can help - here are a few…
This year, on Tuesday, December 2nd, Pathways is part of a call to action - #GivingTuesday. We are celebrating a day dedicated to giving when charities, families, businesses, students, retailers and more will all come together for #GivingTuesday–a movement to celebrate giving and kick-off the holiday giving season. Click here to donate and visit#GivingTuesday.org for more information.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy click here.
Everyone enjoys the spirit of giving and the magical feeling of the holiday season. For some of our families it is difficult to find the additional resources needed to provide gifts for their children. Each year we look to our community to help keep the magic of the holidays alive by donating new, unwrapped gifts for children and youth. At Pathways, a “holiday store” is put into place made up of donated gifts. Parents can choose a limited number of gifts for their children free of charge. The donors, parents, staff and volunteers involved in the holiday store always comment on how it inspires them to believe in the magic of the season as well. We would greatly appreciate your help! Donations can also be made at both our sites - 29 Emerson Ave, Gloucester and 292, Cabot St, Beverly.
Give the important gift of literacy!
Reading with children is one of the most important gifts we can give. This holiday season, our goal is to give every child in our programs a new book. As you reflect on your favorite children’s or young adult books, please consider sharing it with one of the children in our programs - donate a new book or make a financial donation to our Holiday Book Drive. Donations can be made at both our sites - 29 Emerson Ave, Gloucester and 292, Cabot St, Beverly - or on-line.
