Student Teacher Internship Program

Interns at Pathways for Children will have the opportunity to work with host teachers. These host teachers will suggest ways for student interns to engage in classroom learning opportunities. Students will learn about the various specialists and support staff involved in a Head Start program. In consultation with the host teacher, interns will support the classroom and will be assigned an increasing amount of responsibilities with individuals and small groups.

+ Who is eligible?

  • Students enrolled in ECE programs working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education who need to fulfill their field placements I / II and/or student teacher practicum requirements.
  • Students enrolled in CDA credentialing program who need to conduct placement hours within the classroom.

+ What are the requirements?

  • Successful completion of an employment physical (within one year of hire date)
  • Pass CORI, SORI, DCF, and fingerprint clearance
